Classroom helpers - volunteering

Classroom Helpers

You can be of assistance in programs such as:

  • Reading with students

At Parkmore, we believe that fostering a love for reading is a journey that's best traveled together. That's why we're calling all our dedicated parents, grandparents and older siblings to become reading volunteers in our classrooms. Reading aloud with students is a powerful way to inspire a lifelong passion for books.

  • The Numeracy Block
  • Sporting events
  • Assisting with the swimming program
  • Helping with major events such as graduation preparation

Volunteering

You can also assist with:

  • Excursions,
  • In-school visits,
  • Publishing of student work and assisting with displays

Your presence at school is appreciated not only by the school, but also your child. Children love to have their parent/carer participating in school events. Do not hesitate to offer your services, they will always be greatly appreciated!

Our volunteer program is flexible and designed to fit your schedule. Whether it's a few hours a week or a monthly visit, your presence can make a significant impact.

A big shout out to our current volunteers,

  • Kim and Jessica in the classrooms;
  • Tiffany, Candy, Rachel, Tanya, Meredith in the background for organising school events and our second-hand uniform shop;
  • Ana, Penny and Kerry with Breakfast Club;
  • Candy, Rachel, Tiffany, and Dana for our Mother's and Father's day stalls;
